Compensation

Compensation refers to all forms of pay provided to employees who work for you.  This may include various forms of pay such as base pay, bonuses, and performance bonuses.  All forms of compensation are intended to motivate employees and retain them as valuable resources you have invested in.  Good compensation practices are based on job descriptions and competency levels.  Compensation and benefits can be similar for different employee groups if they are based on objective criteria.
